DETAILS
eligibility
  • participants must be at least 18 years of age as of April 04, 2025.
  • participants must have a minimum of 5 (five) years of professional experience in building software applications and platforms.
  • participants must be legal residents of India and must possess valid government-issued identification.
  • employees, consultants, directors, and officers of CRED (including its affiliates), Yotta (including its affiliates), and AWS (including its affiliates) are not eligible to participate.
  • participants must have the necessary legal right and authority to create, modify, and license the submissions to the hackathon.
registration & selection
  • registration for the hackathon is open from March 17, 2025, to March 26, 2025, at 12:00 PM IST.
  • all applications must be submitted through the official website: cred.club/rabbit-hole
  • by submitting an application through any means (including but not limited to clicking "Apply Now," logging into CRED, or any other application method), participants expressly acknowledge and agree to be bound by all hackathon terms and conditions in their entirety.
  • up to 50 participants will be selected based on their experience, skills, and the quality of their application at the sole discretion of CRED.
  • selected participants will be notified via email by March 26, 2025.
  • if a selected participant fails to confirm attendance within 24 hours of notification, an alternate participant may be selected at the sole discretion of CRED.
hackathon format
  • the hackathon will take place in Bangalore from April 04-06, 2025.
  • CRED, along with its partner AWS and Yotta will, on a best effort basis, provide:
    • environments for deployment
    • code repositories
    • LLM credits for AI development
    • security review support
    • NVIDIA H100 GPUs
  • participants will be presented with problem statements and must choose one to address during the hackathon.
  • participants will develop their solutions individually (no teams) over the two-day period.
  • mentors from CRED and industry experts may be available to guide participants.
  • CRED shall provide the participants an active internet connection in the designated areas. the participants shall be solely responsible to bring their devices (laptops, mobile phones) and other software/hardware/peripherals required for their development work. participants may request CRED for any specific items, and upon receiving such request from the participant(s), CRED may, at its sole discretion, undertake to provide such items.
intellectual property
  • participants shall ensure that all the code, algorithms, and other materials developed during the hackathon ("submissions") are their original work product and do not violate third party intellectual property rights. participant submissions may include open source software provided that it complies with the relevant open source licence.
  • participants shall own all rights in their respective submissions.
judging & evaluation
  • submissions shall be evaluated based on:
    • innovation and creativity
    • technical implementation
    • business impact and viability
    • AI integration and effectiveness
  • the judging panel will consist of CRED executives, Yotta representatives, AWS representatives, and industry experts ("panel").
  • all decisions conveyed by the panel shall be final and binding.
prizes
  • the winner will receive a prize of Rs. 50 lakh (Indian Rupees Fifty Lakhs Only).
  • prize money will be subject to applicable taxes and withholdings as required by applicable law.
  • the prize will be disbursed within 60 days of the announcement of winners.
  • winners may be required to execute additional documentation to receive their prizes or required to submit certain documents for taxation or other compliance purposes.
code of conduct
  • participants must conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner throughout the hackathon.
  • harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • participants must respect the hackathon venue's rules and regulations.
  • CRED reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these rules or whose conduct is deemed inappropriate at the sole discretion of CRED.
privacy & data protection
  • personal information collected during registration will be used in accordance with CRED's privacy policy.
  • participants consent to the collection and processing of their personal information for the purposes of administering the hackathon.
  • participants agree and understand that they may be photographed or recorded during the event, and such material may be used for promotional purposes.
general terms
  • CRED reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time.
  • CRED reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the hackathon if circumstances warrant, at its sole discretion.
  • by registering for the hackathon, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and other rules which may be explained to the participants during the hackathon.
  • these terms and conditions and the hackathon shall be governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore.
  • participation in the hackathon is subject to all applicable laws and CRED guidelines.
  • participants acknowledge they may be exposed to confidential information of CRED, AWS, Yotta, or their partners during the hackathon and agree to: (i) maintain strict confidentiality of such information; (ii) use it solely for hackathon participation; (iii) not disclose it to any third party; and (iv) return or destroy all confidential materials upon request, with these obligations surviving for 5 years post-event, except for information that is publicly available or independently developed without access to confidential material.
indemnity & limitations of liability
  • each participant agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless CRED and its partners from any claims arising from: (i) their participation in the Hackathon; (ii) violation / breach of any of these Terms; (iii) fraud, willful misconduct or misrepresentation by the participant; (iii) violation of any third party right, including any intellectual property right or privacy right in the submission; (iv) your failure to be in compliance with applicable law; or (v) your participation in the hackathon or your submission resulting in damage to a third party.
  • CRED shall not be liable to the participants for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of participation in the hackathon.
